Primus Featured in AutoTrader’s First Van Accessory Review - Primus Seat Covers

Primus Featured in AutoTrader’s First Van Accessory Review

When AutoTrader launched its first-ever van accessory review, it chose Primus van seat covers as the product to put under the spotlight.

This wasn’t a quick unboxing. AutoTrader carried out thorough testing, putting our van seat covers through a range of real-world use cases over several months.

Fitted to a Volkswagen T7 Transporter Kombi, our tailored covers were put through months of everyday use. From a 200-mile road trip to South Wales, to hauling bulky furniture and dealing with the usual food spills, AutoTrader assessed how well our covers protect a personal leisure vehicle and how those same benefits carry over to a hard-working commercial van.

The Results

AutoTrader found our seat covers delivered all-round coverage without the usual problems found with other brands:

Quick and easy fitting: with printed instructions and online video guides to hand, the reviewer fitted the driver’s seat cover in around 10 minutes, thanks to the simple pull-on design and velcro fastening.

Breathable fabric: our heavy-duty waterproof material was tested during a 36°C UK heatwave, and the reviewer found the covers comfortable throughout, with no heat build-up or noisy rustling.

Heavy-duty protection: our covers stood up to dust, dirt and heavy items over an extended period, with no damage to the upholstery underneath. That’s the practicality and longevity we build every cover for.

Easy maintenance: food and drink spills wiped clean with both wet and dry cleaning methods, ideal for family use and the daily grind of a commercial van.

Careful design: practical touches, including hemmed ISOFIX slots and custom zips for seatbelts, make daily use effortless without sacrificing coverage.

Summing up, AutoTrader concluded that “you get what you pay for”, adding that their time with the product “backs up the well-deserved and growing reputation” Primus has built across independent review platforms.

Essential Protection for Lease Vans

AutoTrader also highlighted the built-in insurance that Primus van seat covers give lease van drivers. The reviewer recalled being hit with a penalty charge on a previous lease for upholstery damage caused by general wear and tear. At £180 for a set of our seat covers, they concluded, drivers get simple, effective protection against expensive end-of-lease charges.

Every product Primus makes goes through real-world testing: if a cover is awkward to fit, doesn’t stay put, or doesn’t hold up under pressure, it doesn’t make the cut. Our covers deliver exactly what we say they will: peace of mind against unexpected fees on lease vans and long-lasting protection on the vehicles you own. If you’ve ever been charged for upholstery wear on a lease van, it’s time to put your trust in Primus.
